Bridal Shower Recap

May 25th, 2007 by Jennifer

As many of you know, this Friday, my lovely Matron of Honor and Bridesmaids hosted a Bridal Shower for me!

It all started at 6:30 May 25th where I was welcomed many of my fabulous friends and family. Renee’s house was cozy and festive, and the display of Asian inspired dishes was adorable. Sushi, herbed chicken, salad with mandarin oranges, and Asian pear slaw were just a few of the dishes that delighted the tummies of all the ladies there! Debi and Rachael ventured into sushi, and thought it wasn’t half bad. Rylie and Ashlyn still are pondering it I think!

Lemon Drops and Sake were the drinks of choice. We had to have the neighbor do a “lemon” run because they were so popular!

Ashlyn & Jen are “official judges”

Games included the group splitting into two and designing fashionable wedding dress attire for the girls out of toilet paper. Ashlyn and I got to be the Judges… too tough to choose!

Bling Bling Baby!!

Rylies dress was romantic and full of toliet paper rosettes. She was patient and very excited about her “bling”. After she was so generous to share her bling with me. I wore it on my pinky finger for the rest of the evening!

Whitney & Ashlyn catch the bouquets

Of course, you can’t have a pretend wedding without a bouquet toss! Rylie and Tyler stood at the top of the stairs and threw their bouquets down. Whitney and Ashlyn were the lucky winners!

Also, a Mad Libs story was made about our engagement story. Once my Mom and Samia got together… they made quite a team! Impossible to beat not only their selection of words, but Samia put all her heart and drama into reading the story! Their prize to take home was a cute chopstick box and a Starbucks gift card!

Aren’t these beautiful?

Heather’s mom Faye made little slices of chocolate heaven. They were simply delicious and quite a beautiful creation!

I was fortunate enough to get plenty of lovely gifts. The packaging was all in pinks and oranges! These ladies know how much I love attention to detail! Just looking at all the lovely tissue paper and cards—made my day! Many were packed full of heartfelt messages, which I’ve been pulling out to read over and over again!

The gift goodies included sexy and romantic lingerie, serving platters, my SHUN Knife, lip gloss goodies, crystal candle holders, a digital photo frame preloaded with photos of Brett and I, a cake plate with a “shoe” server, table runner, and cash/gift cards. What a fun variety of things to play with!

Thank you to all the wonderful ladies who shared the evening with me. I couldn’t have asked for better friendships and family. I love you all!
