As the maid of honor, I have the honor of sharing a few thoughts about the bride and groom. Are you two game for this….?
I’ll start with the lovely bride, my sister Jennifer. I have had the honor and joy of knowing Jennifer for all of her life and I can honestly say there are only a few people in this world that I love as much as I love my sister. Even when she came into my life when I was as a teenager and I lost five or six years of my precious teen age life to babysitting, I knew she was an amazing person. It has been so much fun to see her grow into the amazing young woman that she is today. I am so proud to stand here today and look at you – the best sister and friend that a person could ask for, and I know Brett will agree, a gorgeous bride to boot.
You have so many amazing qualities that have brought all of the people in this room here today to share in your moment… I admire how you can find or create beauty in everything you do and how much you of yourself you give to the people that you love. Continue reading ‘Matron of Honor’s Toast’

May I please have your attention. As the best man I get the honor of toasting the bride and groom. Jennifer and Brett, thank you for including all of us in this special day. It has been a beautiful wedding that is fitting and appropriate for a beautiful couple.
Any of you who have been reading the brides blog on www.griffinwedding.com or have seen the bride’s running “to-do” list over the past few months know and appreciate all of the hard work, creativity, and thoughtfulness that Jen and Brett have put into this day. Continue reading ‘Best Man’s Toast’
Posted at July 7th, 2007Brett and I wrote our ceremony from start to finish. We had many long and meaningful conversations about marriage, love, and our future. Finally, with less than a week left, we completed the ceremony for Miss. Whitney to read. A few late nights for the 3 of us to read through and edit (first read through took us 1.5 hours!), after all was done, the hard work paid off!

Posted at July 7th, 2007Yes, Brett and I saw each other for the first time on our wedding day on a stair case leading down to Post Ally. There were torn posters behind us—very Urban and fun! Continue reading ‘Photos in Post Ally’
Posted at July 7th, 2007We once again stuff into the Mini, but this time, Brett and Gloria are lucky enough to be stuffed into the back seat. With our car stuffed to the rim, we flew down Western Ave to Pioneer Square. Almost everyone was there already waiting for us. The Tully’s at the corner offered me a slice of caramel apple, which I thoughtlessly popped into my mouth. As my mouth started to itch and gums started to swell, I remembered I am allergic to apples! One of the kids saved the day with some peppermint gum!
Family photos began in the center of Pioneer Square, and I had to dodge the strange assortment of mystery liquids on the ground with my dress. We even had to kick a few beer cans out of the way. Ohhh, getting married in the city is fun! ? Everyone made it (even if late!) and photos were completed on time.
Of to get M-A-R-R-I-E-D!!!
Posted at July 7th, 2007Today, I woke up in Hotel Andra’s King size bed next to my sister and Matron of Honor Renee. I was lucky enough to be joined by my bridesmaids Heather and Gloria, and we chatted and lounged for about an hour. I felt so lucky to start my day surrounded by these 3 fantastic ladies!
