The little things are the big things.
It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say “I love you†at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry,
It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through all the years. Continue reading ‘The Art of Marriage’
Heather is coming to help me wedding plan January 12th – 14th. I will be trying on Dresses for the first time with an audience (Renee, Mom, and Heather). I feel pretty nervous and have had some pretty crazy dreams over the last couple of nights. (Dress related!)

Whitney and I have been busy planning the “big event†all week. Our theme is NAUGHTY AND NICE. We have all the fun prizes, food, etc planned out and think we are all set. On Wednesday, Seattle gets a huge windstorm knocking out power for 3 days and now we’re feeling pretty nervous about the big bash. Luckily at 9 am Saturday, the power buzzed back on! Whitney and I embarked out into the powerless city… the challenge was finding a grocery store that was open.
At 5:30 the festivities began with our “nice†part of the evening. We bought Samia a lovely feather boa—because of course that is just her style!! She arrived a little late but still made it! To get the evening started, we served her a sparkling cosmo! Continue reading ‘Samia’s Bachelorette Party’
Posted at December 18th, 2006Today I met with and decided on my florist. She’s a entrepreneurial gal who has the combination of style and price that I am looking for. We spent a lot of time talking, and she gave me a lot of great ideas. I am pretty excited about working with Hopper Flowers!
I met her next to David’s Bridal in South Center, so I decided to drop by and try on a dress there. It was kind of strange being by myself since a busy Saturday brings many bridal parties/mom’s. But, it was nice to try something on and see that it’s not so bad! Check out this poofy “cupcake” number!
Posted at November 18th, 2006After tormenting the lady at the Post Office for just the right “Save the Date†stamps… I decided nothing was quite right. So, Brett reminded me of my online photo stamp service from www.stamps.com. Brilliant. I had totally forgot about this!
Keep your eyes peeled for the Save the Dates with custom “Will you marry me?†Stamps! Wahoo!
Posted at October 31st, 2006With the exception that I thought the appointment was at 11:30 instead of 11:00, cake tasting went surprisingly well. Not being huge cake fans…. Brett and I had pretty low expectations. Continue reading ‘Cake Tasting’
