I am writing to let all our guests know where we will be staying the night of our wedding- July 7, 2007. We were going to hold off and send this information with our invitation—but, there are only 20 rooms remaining. Unfortunately, because there are limited rooms remaining, we are not able to hold a room block or get any great deals for our guests. Of course, there are plenty of other options in the city (expect the lowest rate to be $190, weekend rate) or outside of the city (Ranges from $85-185, weekend rate). Posted at January 22nd, 2007Ok, so after I sent all the info to the bridesmaids about the dresses we picked… they are not actually availble in all the sizes we need. I guess that means—back to the drawing board. Sigh.
Posted at January 21st, 2007Today Mom, Renee, Debi, Tyler, Rylie, and I (what a crew!) went David’s Bridal so the girls could try on flower girl dresses.

Posted at January 20th, 2007Today Mom, Renee, Debi, Tyler, Rylie, and I were downtown Seattle looking for bridesmaid and flower girl dresses.
Even though I called Macy’s and they said they didn’t carry the dress I was looking for… We got there and they did have it! Renee tried on the dress (wrong color obviously). It looked really nice. It is nice and flowy, and has a satin trim on the waist, which I think will look great with my dress.
I think we can check this baby off the list!
Posted at January 20th, 2007Today, we are feeling a little tierd. It’s slow moving for us after our 3 am night.
We make it to Mom’s Maids and More where Heather tried on Bridesmaid Dresses. Our laughter ingulfed the dressing room and we had a great time. We also checked out Nordstrom’s, which didn’t have much options.
After a sushi snack, and arriving back to the apartment, Heather was nice enough to enter all of my guest list in www.theknot.com. It has a pretty cool organization feature which allows you to add guests to showers, bachelorette, bachelor, etc lists so you get an accurate count (and hopefully don’t forget anyone!!). I’m glad she gave me that useful tip!
The evening ends, and Heather heads home tomorrow. I am so thankful for her help, and most of all her friendship!
Posted at January 14th, 2007Today, we start by swinging by Court in the Square. It’s all very exciting because it is the first time I have seen the location being prepared for a wedding! I think I have some better ideas of the layout now (mostly what I didn’t like!) and it was fun showing Heather around for the first time!

Ok, today was the big dress day. We started our first appointment at 11:30 at Amanda’s Bridal. Amanda was so kind and created a comfortable fun experience for us. I tried on SEVERAL dresses and began to narrow down what styles I liked. Continue reading ‘Day 1: Trying on dresses’
