Several fun shots of the guys looking all spiffed up!
This morning we wake up in our bed at the Paris Hotel. We find tickets home on Alaska, and opt for first class so we can travel our last leg comfortably with no stress!
We head out and have yummy crepes downstairs. Lemon curd, raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries. (AND, don’t forget the whipped cream!)
We play the slots and win $14! Then walk around outside. It’s warmer (but not much!) and luckily the sun is out. We go to Mirage Hotel and buy holiday gifts for Ty and Carson. Then we head over to the Venitian and yes, we go to the Mexican restaurant there. Ohh it’s so good. We order Guacamole (Yum) a pitcher of Patron margarita (which we can’t finish so fill up our water bottle and take with us) and tocos (marginal), and smoked chicken casadea (delish!). Full, we head back to catch a cab to the airport.
We send a text to Renee with the above photo:
Last minute Vegas tickets $250
Priceline Paris Hotel: $100
Amazing Margaritas and Guacamole: Priceless
Well, standby, very bad idea. We got to the airport to find out the Boston Flight was sold out. Not sure how this happened because when we called they said it was “wide open”. Whatever. Anyhow, we tried to go to JFK and catch a delta flight from there. Well, by the time we went through the extra baggage check (which we didn’t know about until our 3rd or 4th time up to the Jet Blue counter) we missed the JFK flight. So, we are now off to Boston with hopes we’ll luck out and get on the Boston to Seattle Flight.

Today, we arrived at the Carib Hilton. It’s a very pretty hotel, right on the beach in San Juan. We arrived at 9 am, so we had time to explore the hotel until our room was ready.
The pool is quite nice!! This photo above is just a slice of the huge pool. While we waited for our room, I got in… but the pool temp was chilly, so I didn’t stay too long. The views are amazing, so we sat in the chairs and enjoyed them while waiting for our room. (more…)
Today led us on quite the adventure. Up until now, we had decided that $75 would be plenty of cash on the islands (since most took debit card). Well, this is where we went wrong today.
We set off on an adventure to St. John (which Whitney told us was well worth exploring on our own). On St. John, there is a lovely area called Trunk Bay. To get to it, you have to leave the ship, take a taxi, then a ferry, then yet another taxi, and then there is a fee to get in. You see where this is going right? Yes, that’s it, we ran out of money to get back because everything was cash!
