Day 2: Lovely Hurricane Ridge

Today, we decided to head out to Hurricane Ridge. But first, a recap on lastnight… Boy was it WINDY! I thought the poor little Fun Finder was going to take off with us in it. Of course, it didn’t help we left the awning out until 3 am! I was invisioning the windstorm in Seattle last winter when it lifted the fun finder a few feet backwords!

Joke from Aunt Betty and Uncle Bill

A couple had only been married for two weeks and the husband, although very much in love, couldn’t wait to go out on the town and party with his old buddies.

So, he said to his new wife, “Honey, I’ll be right back.”

“Where are you going, Coochy Coo?” asked the wife.

“I’m going to the bar, Pretty Face,” he answered. I’m going to have a beer.”

Enjoying Day 1 so far!

Alright, so that pick is the end of day 1, so let’s start at the begining…A little bit of craziness begins our Monday. We were not at all packed for the trip, so we had to scramble to get everything together. Leaving gifts and wedding supplies strewn throughout the house, we hit the road about 2:30 pm. Matron of Honor’s Toast

As the maid of honor, I have the honor of sharing a few thoughts about the bride and groom. Are you two game for this….?

I’ll start with the lovely bride, my sister Jennifer. I have had the honor and joy of knowing Jennifer for all of her life and I can honestly say there are only a few people in this world that I love as much as I love my sister. Even when she came into my life when I was as a teenager and I lost five or six years of my precious teen age life to babysitting, I knew she was an amazing person. It has been so much fun to see her grow into the amazing young woman that she is today. I am so proud to stand here today and look at you – the best sister and friend that a person could ask for, and I know Brett will agree, a gorgeous bride to boot.

You have so many amazing qualities that have brought all of the people in this room here today to share in your moment… I admire how you can find or create beauty in everything you do and how much you of yourself you give to the people that you love. (more…)
