Whitney, Samia, Sarah, and I kicked of “girl day” by getting our nails done at Tina’s nails. It was a great time that was full of laughs—and some bright nail polish!
After, we headed up to Alderwood mall. Samia was on a mission for her wedding shoes (red of course!). She made that salesman work for sure! Ultimately, she found a lovely pair of creme round toed patent leather mary janes with black piped trim. VERY cute!
This AM, Renee and I met at Cafe Ladro (best place for a caramel macchiato by the way!) to discuss wedding and shower plans. For those of you who do not know, the shower is taking place May 25th. Details to follow.
With so many of my girlfriends offering up help for the shower and bachelorette, I am very excited for the weekend!
Today was THE DAY to do invitations with Whitney and Rachael. Big plans were made.
In hind sight, 1 bottle of champagne, and nearly 1 bottle of vodka might not have been a great idea to consume between the 3 of us in 3.5 hours. BUT, the upside is we sure did have a lot of fun! We managed to eat some good food, start bread on fire, have “budgetary” discussions, go out and play on the playground in the rain, lay in the bark, and warm back up by the fireplace.
At 6 pm, we headed to Red Hook for dinner. Poor Rachael wasn’t feeling so great. Whit and I proceeded to split a beer and dinner, then she came back to my house to finish the last glass of champagne while we chatted.
Totally unproductive, but a good day none the less.
Today, we found our wedding bands! After looking for a couple months, we narrowed it down to a more classic style for me, and a Mokume Gane style for Brett. We drove to Olympia to where Karyn works. Brett placed an order his (I’ll post photos when it comes in), but mine I got to take home! Another thing checked off our list. 🙂 110 days to go, 123 things left on the check list.
