Day 2: Adventures in Seattle

Court Exterior

Today, we start by swinging by Court in the Square. It’s all very exciting because it is the first time I have seen the location being prepared for a wedding! I think I have some better ideas of the layout now (mostly what I didn’t like!) and it was fun showing Heather around for the first time!

Inn Rooftop

Our next stop is Pike Place Market where we enjoy lunch, and then stop by Inn at the Market. This is the first hotel I’ve seriously considered, and it’s lovely. It has 70 rooms total, so it’s quaint. The rooms are clean and well decorated, and run $225 a night for city view, $300 a night for water view. As you can see from the photo above, Inn at the Market has a lovely deck which is open 24 hours which is open to guests. Here you will find fantastic views of the Olympic Mountains and Elliot Bay.

Brett and I will be staying here the night of the wedding, and the bridesmaids are invited to stay with me the night before the wedding so we can wake up in the city the day of the wedding—ready to go!

Next we enjoyed a warm cup of coffee in Redmond before heading over to Amanda’s Bridal Boutique for Heather and Rachael (and me since I am having a hard time remembering all the dresses!) to review what were my 3 favorite from the day before. I tend to lean towards the simpler dresses, and narrow it down to 2. One is VERY simple and Glamorous with beautiful cream fabric, and the other has a small amount of embroidery down the side. Unfortunately, it only comes in white. I decide to sleep on it and decide later.

Rachael, Heather and I enjoy a icy ride home and decide to stay in and have dinner with our men. After Rachael and Pete leave, Heather and I stay up chatting until 3 am. Whoo. Tired.
