Several cake ideas I like
Today we decided the wedding will be at Court in the Square in Pioneer Square. I feel like this site is much more suited for our wedding size. It’s also nice because it feels like it’s in an outdoor setting, but it’s inside—no need to worry about weather! It’s quaint and full of greenery and is 4 to 5 stories high with a glass ceiling that can open (pending nice weather)!
Pioneer Square is the oldest area of Seattle, and quite charming. It is full of art galleries, underground pathways, restaurants and bars. It’s also right next door to the Stadiums. I think our out of town guests will find this area interesting and fun
This weekend mom and I shopped all over for some centerpiece ideas. I am thrilled that we figured two ideas out. One is with daisies, and another with bamboo. The photo above is the photo of one part of the centerpiece. They will be on mirrors with candles.
I took Mom, Renee and Carson to visit the reception site… for a final opinion! They both seemed to like it and weren’t too concerned about the size (2500 square feet, with a 5,00 square foot potential). I left a deposit to hold our date until they get their contract revised.
Then we had lunch at the “Red Line” which had delicious coffee and sandwiches!

UPDATE: THIS IS THE “OLD” RECEPTION SITE.
Today we went down to Olympia and Brett’s Mom helped us pick out our wedding rings! I was so excited that we found the perfect set! We chose simple and elegant. My ring is a small band of diamonds and looks really fantastic with my engagement ring. Brett’s ring is brushed white gold with a thin unbrushed grove through the center.

Pier 57 Bay Pavillion

Location: Downtown Seattle
Brett is out of town so I asked my brother Larry to join me for this site visit. I’m excited since this will be the first site I’ve visited!! There was a tasting and the food was pretty tasty. Being out on the Pier, it’s a very pretty ceremony site—would over look the water, islands, and Olympic Mountains. The reception room is a little dark, no great views and slightly dated. (more…)
We dropped Rylie off and she proceeded to knock Debi over with excitement. She giggled and shared the news. Keagan seemed a little disappointed, and we offered him a flower girl roll, but he declined. 🙂
Rylie is anxious to look at bridal magazine and dress possibilities. I told her that I would bring a magazine to her birthday party on Saturday. Apparently, when deciding to go bowling instead of a party at the house, she was concerned that maybe that was a bad idea because I might not bring my bridal magazines. Debi reassured her that it was easy enough to bring bowling too.
TYLER PETRIE
Tyler promptly called mom to tell her the good news. She was so happy that by the end of the call she expressed with a blissful sigh, “I’m sooo happy.”
She wore her shirt with pride to school the next day. Apparently none of her friends fully understood what the big deal was, but her teacher was very excited for her.
Later, she told Renee that she “always wanted to be part of something big.” Apparently for a 7 year old, the honor of flower girl is pretty “big” in the scheme of life.
